Eric S. Chavez represents clients in wrongful death and personal injury claims arising from automobile and trucking crashes, construction/worksite accidents, product liability, medical device and pharmaceutical liability, medical malpractice, premises liability, and nursing home negligence. Mr. Chavez also represents policyholders in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.
Prior to joining Casper & deToledo, Mr. Chavez worked as a trial and litigation attorney for a prominent Seattle-based law firm. Prior to that position, he litigated cases as an in-house counsel for a Fortune 100 company.
Mr. Chavez earned his Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law in 2009. He received a master’s degree from California State University, Fullerton in 2005, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California in 2001.
In addition to being admitted in Connecticut, Mr. Chavez is a member of the Washington Bar. He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington. In 2015, he served as Chairman of the Washington State Bar Association’s Trial Advocacy Program, a program designed to train new lawyers to represent clients at trial. He was recognized by Super Lawyers magazine as a Washington “Rising Star” in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
Mr. Chavez is a member of the American Association for Justice, The Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and the Fairfield County Bar Association.
