Biography
Victoria de Toledo has retired from the practice of law and is no longer accepting new clients.
In the employment area, she represented individuals who have been terminated, as well as employees who need assistance or protection in their current employment. She represented clients with claims involving age discrimination, sexual harassment, sex/gender discrimination, and disability discrimination. She also represented individuals who are wrongfully terminated because they blew the whistle on an employer’s wrongdoing. She also assisted individuals in the drafting and review of their employment contracts, severance agreements, and non-competition agreements. In the personal injury area, she represented individuals who have been injured in automobile accidents, negligently maintained premises, and sexual assaults. She also handled legal malpractice claims.
In 2006, she was recognized in Connecticut Magazine for being a “Super Lawyer” in its inaugural listing, and she has retained that designation since 2006 (selection criteria here). She was featured on the cover of the New England issue of the Super Lawyers Magazine in 2009. She has been ranked in the Super Lawyers Magazine as one of the top 25 female lawyers in Connecticut since 2006, and as one of the top 50 male and female lawyers in Connecticut and New England since 2008. She has been listed in Best Lawyers in America® since 1993 and has been named the Lawyer of the Year for Stamford, Connecticut since the organization started this designation in 2011 for the areas: Labor & Employment Law- 2011, Employment Law Individuals – 2011, Employment Law Individuals – 2012, 2020 and 2023, Litigation – Labor & Employment Law – 2012, Employment Law Individuals – 2014, Litigation – Labor and Employment Law – 2015, 2019 and 2020. She started practicing law in Connecticut in 1981 and has been actively involved in the civil rights field since 1976. She has lectured extensively about employment law in Connecticut and throughout the country.
